Skills & expertise
I've been a successful Artist and Art & Design lecturer, teaching in Scottish colleges for over 25 years. In this time I've created portrait commissions for many private clients, friends & family. In my work I use pencil, colour pencil, fine-line pen, graphic marker, acrylic & gouache paint, inks and cut and layered paper. I am inspired by music, movies, sports, advertising, graphic novels & comic books and iconography, and heavily influenced by the Pop Art masters, like Warhol and Blake.
The project
To stage an exciting solo exhibition of my art work showcasing a wide range of portraits and figurative pieces, created to celebrate the lives of famous Rock Gods, Movie Stars and Sports Heroes from the last fifty years. The purpose of this exhibition would be to show the incredible positive impact these amazing people have had on the lives of their many fans, their family and friends, and also the world around them. With the terrible year that the majority of us have suffered in 2020, it would be great to move into 2021 celebrating and promoting the talent, creativity, determination, commitment and sheer resilience of the human race.

Visibility for my sponsor
I would provide visibility for my future Sponsor through my various social media and professional platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and my website. Also through the advertising and promotion of my exhibition in a wide variety of different areas. This would involve leaflet drops and placing posters in relevant shops, businesses, music venues, pubs, sports clubs and colleges. I would place adverts in relevant magazines and publications, and also use email promotion.
